Ancient foodstuffs, lost pans, warped doors

Ruth Stuart, Christchurch.

Ruth is a school teacher with a calming personality, a ready smile and a twinkle in the eye. That all changed however when we asked what she hated most about her old kitchen. She proceeded to reel off a long list of issues that had driven her to distraction. It seems the old cupboards had a habit of making pans and utensils disappear. The pantry was inefficient and food would mysteriously stay hidden until they were past their use by date. The bench top had rounded corners, which meant that water or other liquids could drip off the bench top and seep into the doors.

Before long the doors would be warped and swollen, and Ruth had already replaced the doors twice before deciding enough was enough and a new kitchen was a priority.
She approached two kitchen companies and decided to go with Kitchen Studio because the designer took the time to understand her needs. Not only did they really listen to her but they presented lots of ideas and there was absolutely no sales pressure.

Ruth described her kitchen as small but the design has created the illusion of the kitchen being much bigger than it really is. It feels light and spacious. When asked what she loved most about her new kitchen, Ruth replied "Everything, I love everything".
