My clients wanted to transform a beige and monotone space into something light, clean and welcoming. Having lived in their home for 11 years with a lot of browns and beige they were ready for a change. They love entertaining and cooking so a better use of space and a good bench flow was top priority.
Mostly white kitchen with a splash of colour for contrast. Better use of space and good bench flow. Ceramic butlers sink Glass display cabinet Good storage solutions
To create a light, clean and welcoming look, a white benchtop and white cabinets were used with brushed nickel handles and tapware. Splashback tiles were added in shades of blue and the walls painted in dark blue to add a contrasting splash of colour. To create more space in the one corner, the kitchen was extended into the dining area which originally was just a bare wall. This gives the kitchen a spacious area for the kettle and toaster to be used instead of being a wasted space as it was previously. The ceramic butlers sink adds a touch of nostalgia and creates an inviting feel to the kitchen. The glass display cabinet at the end of the kitchen creates a “bar” space perfect for entertaining. An oil pull out next to the stove and a spice shelf fitted into the rangehood cabinet gives a great solution for all cooking needs to be on hand. Space-saving solutions like the space tower pantry and the corner Mondo units are used in the kitchen as well as lots of draws for easy access.
