Design by Natasha Wright – Kitchen Studio North Shore
In the absence of his wife due to an injury sustained overseas preventing her from returning home for the design consultation of their new kitchen, it was up to my client and I to create a kitchen that met both their needs.
The brief was specific. It must be a great place to entertain guests when they visit, particularly during the summer season with access to the pool from the kitchen. It must have a seamless sink that would blend into the benchtop, built in handles that would also appear unseen and a unique splash back.
Bar stool seating welcomes guests to enjoy a glass of wine with the illuminating glass unit housing the essentials for entertaining.
The quartz white sink seamlessly matches the carefully selected engineered stone benchtops.
Specifically matched handles on the high gloss thermal wrapped cabinetry prevent persistent finger prints on the door and drawer fronts. The dark vein of the benchtop is reflected in the Antique mirror splashback.
The client was educated throughout the design process that manufacturing of an antique mirror splashback cannot be controlled and was more of an art form. He was delighted with the result.
Upon the late arrival of his wife, she was wrapped with her new kitchen. It was more than she could have ever imagined. They are now reunited and enjoy cooking together in their wonderful new kitchen.
