Client Brief
The clients wanted a kitchen that would take their breath away! It needed to incorporate the huge stove that they had fallen in love with. Better flow to the dining room and lounge was desired. The clients wanted more storage and bench space.  They enjoy cooking and baking. Both are in the kitchen often and require ease of movement.

Solutions
A traditional style kitchen was chosen to integrate the Falcon Standalone Dual stove and the heritage patterned tiles shows it off perfectly. An unapologetic matching rangehood complements the look.

Arborline’s ‘Nelson‘ door pattern provides the vintage look, while the bold colour -Resene Balderdash- delivers a stunning impact. The brass tap, brass cup- shaped handles and knobs amplifies the drama.

The original kitchen had a return benchtop, cutting off the confined kitchen from the dining area. A new galley configuration creates effortless flow and allows the extension of the kitchen into the dining room for more storage and bench space.

An ample stretch of benchtop was incorporated for their baking purposes. Grooves on the benchtop adds practicality as well as character. Two different types of pantry give a versatility to much needed storage.
They are tall people and the distances in the working triangle is appropriate in scale.
All the elements chosen created an elegant outcome!
