Design Consultant

Position Objective:
The Design Consultant’s role is to sell kitchens. To achieve this outcome, the Design Consultant is responsible for managing prospective clients (Leads) through the sales process. The role involves consulting with the Lead to design a kitchen which best suits their requirements and investment level. This will involve traveling to a Lead’s home, often in the evenings. The Design Consultant will design and price the kitchen accurately, and present this to the Lead with an expectation that a sale will result. A positive experience for the client is expected, with the Design Consultant managing the sales elements of the relationship.

Candidate specifications
The Design Consultant will ideally:

Skills:

  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Have an understanding of what they are responsible for selling.
  • Have sound numeric skills.
  • Have an understanding of pricing and margins.
  • Have competent computer skills.
  • Take initiative.
  • Have a proactive nature.
  • Have an ability to negotiate a ‘win-win’ situation.

Showroom Consultant

Position Objective:
The Showroom Consultant is often the first Kitchen Studio contact a prospective client (Lead) meets. The role is responsible for converting visitors to our showroom into home consultation appointments with our Design Consultants. To achieve this, the role includes managing the showroom and making all visitors feel comfortable and at ease. Differentiating Kitchen Studio and sharing knowledge of how Kitchen Studio operates along with imparting some product knowledge are key parts of the role. Extracting a brief from the Lead is also pivotal. Answering phone calls along with general office duties including the tidiness and cleanliness of the showroom make up the remainder of this role.

The Showroom Consultant will ideally:

Skills:

  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Be able to start a conversation from scratch
  • Understand behavioural/personality types and be able to adapt communication style to suit.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Have an understanding of the showroom segment of the sales process, which is to sell the home consultation.
  • Have competent pc skills.
  • Take initiative.
  • Have a proactive nature.

Qualifications/experience:

  • Previous sales experience.

Sales Manager

Position Objective:
The Sales Manager is responsible to the franchise owner for all aspects relating to sales. The role includes the recruitment and induction of sales personnel (Design Consultants and Showroom Consultants), the training and development of the team, individual performance, tracking and reporting of results and the motivation and discipline of the team. The development of leads for the franchise, above those that are generated from national initiatives, are the responsibility of the Sales Manager which will require marketing and networking initiatives

Position Objective:
The Operations Manager role is responsible for managing the logistics of kitchen checking, ordering, assembly and installation. The role involves working closely with key suppliers and other team members and is critical in ensuring our clients are exceptionally satisfied with Kitchen Studio and the service they have received. By having a clear understanding of every role you will be able to support the team. As a member of the management team the role has a huge opportunity and responsibility for innovation, developing smart systems and improving the overall performance of the business. This role requires an eagerness to proactively address challenges and deliver appropriate and cost effective solutions.
