Who We Are
John and Tricia Wilson have owned and operated the all new Kitchen Studio Petone in conjunction with Wellington City for nearly thirty years.
“The kitchen is the hub of your home. It is the place where people do most of their living, gathering, eating and cooking. It is where we spend time with family and friends; it’s where we enjoy moments that become special memories, such as baking with our children, drinks and intimate chats with friends, celebrations and milestones. Our lives revolve around our kitchens.
At Kitchen Studio Petone & Wellington City we have worked with thousands of Wellingtonians designing and installing their dream kitchens. We start in our all new showroom, then our highly qualified and experienced designers will work with you to create your ideal kitchen. From there we are with you every step of the journey organising and coordinating the installation.
Our showroom at the Seaview Roundabout is the perfect place to start your kitchen journey. Come in and see us.
We look forward to working with you and bringing the hub of your home to life”
We have been really impressed with Wai from the Kitchen Studio, she listened to our ideas, offered her knowledge, incorporated our non-standard designs and brought these to life for us. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Wai was agile, able and very approachable in all her interactions. We believe that this collaborative design and build process was a resounding success. We would highly recommend Wai and the Kitchen Studio to those looking to create something personal and also to those who want to add real value to their homes.
It was a delight to deal with Kitchen Studio. I turned up with a photo from a magazine and very little else in the way of guidance or ideas as to what I wanted. Despite this difficult task, they turned an ordinary old kitchen into a beautiful and functional space. Everyone at Kitchen Studio provided an excellent level of service - from the Operations Manager who dealt with my often daily phone calls to change arrangements with incredible patience; through to Designer Wai who created a fantastic design that has added considerable value to the house. John's follow up service has been thorough and efficient.
“We had ideas of how we wanted our new kitchen to look along how we wanted to use it, Anna took all the things we liked and turned them from ideas into a functional design while adding practical solutions. We love using the kitchen and are very pleased with the results that exceeded expectations for functionality and aesthetics. We would strongly recommend Anna and Kitchen studio”

When first walking into this client’s 1930’s Brooklyn home, you couldn’t help but notice and admire the original character features of the house - The same couldn’t be said about the kitchen.
It was time to move into semi-retirement for my clients. After finding the perfect home, there was one big problem stopping them from moving immediately – The Kitchen!
Tradition at its best
It was such an honor to work in conjunction with Willie & Kathleen to achieve this beautiful result in their 1873’s Victorian home.
Less is more
The heart of the home, your kitchen, can become the bane of your existence when space is at a premium. Making a small kitchen feel larger is just a matter of making the eye believe the space it is seeing is bigger through clever and efficient design.
Modern kitchens are increasingly becoming an integral part of a family home living area with open-plan spaces more often than not providing for the social needs of the family and their guests.
The premise on which the entire project was based was taken into account when designing the kitchen: a minimalist design. The home was designed for rest and tranquility, therefore the kitchen had to follow suit.
The Kitchen is one of the most important rooms in any home. If the kitchen is small the objective is to combine all functions into the space and to find the most practical solutions possible.
