We chose Kitchen Studio as we liked the idea of the entire project being managed for us. We first met Craig when visiting the Kitchen Studio to have a look around and get some ideas – this was even before our offer on the house had been accepted. Craig was very helpful and spent quite a bit of time with us going over the different options and the project management method of Kitchen Studio.
When we brought the house and revisited Kitchen Studio approximately 2 months lather we specifically asked for Craig to manage our kitchen project as he had instilled confidence in us from the first meeting.
When Craig visited our house he was very specific about which builder we should have working for us. Because so much of our budget was being spent on building work it was very important to us to have confidence in our builder. After meeting Ben we were more than happy with Craig’s recommendation – so much so that we were prepared to wait 5 months for Ben to start the work!
The actual planning of the kitchen was the fun part. Using the 3D block models and walking around the Kitchen Studio showroom trying out the different pantry styles, drawers and accessories made the selection process much easier and is great for people who can’t visualise a plan, but need to see it in front of them! Choosing colours and benchtops was a little harder (so many great options!) but Kitchen Studio put up with my constant sample borrowing and popping in all the time to match up paint charts with my kitchen samples.
We found Alan Craig very easy to deal with and again it was great that someone else took care of the details – this time with the granting of council permits.
When the building and installation phase arrived we were very impressed with how smoothly everything went. Trades people turned up when they were supposed to and did a great job. If we were unhappy with something or had a question we could simply ring Craig and he would sort it out.
The actual kitchen installation I was very impressed with – Mike did a great job and ensured I was happy with all the details – especially the height of the benchtops! We are very happy with the end result. We feel we have added a significant asset to our home and enjoy spending time in the kitchen now!
We would definitely recommend Kitchen Studio to anyone. Even though it might not suit those with a very small budget, the quality and convenience (for us) was well worth the money spent.
