Becoming a household name
Established in 1983 in Southland as a ready-to-assemble product concept for the home handyman, Kitchen Studio has evolved to become New Zealand’s leading kitchen design and installation specialist with a reputation for exceptional results, service and value.
Originally known as KitchenPak, and following a number of improvements to design service and sales operations, the business enjoyed considerable success that eventually led to the development of a franchise network. The quality of the product and workmanship was officially endorsed with a Designmark award from the New Zealand Industrial Design Council.
New demands
Over time the DIY market gradually became the DIFM market (Do It For Me). Avid home handymen realised that important projects were best left in the capable hands of specialists. KitchenPak therefore responded to increasing market demand and requests for professional installation assistance with a full-service offering.
Exciting developments
In 1994 the company was relaunched as Kitchen Studio with plans for an extended product range, a new service offering, and new branding. It is now privately owned by a consortium of existing Kitchen Studio franchise owners, each with a vested interest in total customer satisfaction.
